Houston personal trainer Melissa was having a conversation with another trainer and she was laughing with him about how many people including herself had done workouts without ever "feeling the muscle itself get engaged".

For example, when a person does deadlifts, they should feel the workout happening in their hamstrings not their back, and when they do pullovers, they should know they are working the chest, not the shoulders. The other personal trainer in Buena Vista said that doing a squat correctly had taken him years because it is such a large series of complicated movements that have to be performed in sequence with emphasis on the correct body parts in order to work the butt, quads, hamstrings and core. When a muscle feels engaged, it flexes during the contraction phase of the workout and it feels pumped up after the exercise because the muscle has been doing the work of the movement.

Both trainers agreed that without the correct form, the movement often fails to accomplish the desired results. Well,  if you are a good client, your trainer will be motivated to give you the best results in the fastest amount of time because they will know you are doing YOUR part. They can see by your actions that you are able to follow all the criteria necessary to be successful in their program.
SO
become a good client who then is also a successful client:
1) Houston Workouts mean you need self motivation, independent of a trainer. Plan your own Workouts to be moderate to challenging with intensity intervals. An individuals "readiness to change" which is a predictor of success, means the man or woman has already become motivated enough to start some training on their own . Before actually hiring a trainer, it is useful for individuals to start walking or doing some consistent light workout at least three days a week to establish a routine so that kinks in scheduling and timing of scheduling a personal trainer workout can be ironed out in advance.

2) Bad eating habits need to be adressed and  small changes can be made to gradually improve the diet. A good client knows eating properly is part of the weight loss success. Good weight loss tips are things like stopping caffeine, avoid soft drinks, sugar or desserts. Properly keeping an eating journal or joining weight watchers helps as well and avoiding alcohol.
3) To start losing weight and get rid of belly fat it is important to stop drinking, smoking or taking drugs. Smoking and drinking and drugs all interfere with the success of a workout program. When a client is hung over or addicted to any substances, then often other areas in their live are out of balance as well.door_way
4) To be successful in weight loss and workouts with a personal trainer, keeping  appointments and  avoiding travel during the weight loss period to maintain consistency is very important. Clients should also avoid over scheduling themselves and make time for extra workouts instead. If a client is planning a cruise or a long vacation that will fall in the middle of a personal training contract, it might be better to wait till the vacation is past before getting started.

5) Men and women who have a wide variety of interests and are willing to try new ways to improve movement will be more successful. If a client has always wanted to try tennis or jogging, this is the time to get started. Thinking outside the box will help achieve success.
6) Individuals who have supportive friends and family will do better with a Houston Personal trainer. On the contrary, if everyone else in the family is overweight, this is a big hurdle to overcome as a client because others may sabotage the progress. It is helpful to have a workout buddy to do off day training with so that the workouts do not become drudgery.

Fastest way to get a passport in Houston and how to avoid waiting in the LINE FROM HELL! Print E-mail
With thoughts of going to the Dominican Republic for an exciting trip this summer, Personal trainer Melissa in Houston went to the post office to get her passport. This was quite a horrible experience and definitely worth telling others about. When Houston personal trainer Melissa went to the post office the first time, she discovered that there was a specific time for getting a passport and the people who were in line had been waiting for hours. She also was told she needed to have the passport form filled completely out and had to bring all the documentation necessary. So, because personal trainer Melissa is working every day training clients in their homes, she had to wait to reschedule a day of workouts with clients before she could return to the post office in North Houston to reapply for her passport. A week later when she returned, the houston personal trainer arrived at ten am (which was near the designated start time) and yet found she still was the twenty third person in line and was given a number, told she could come and go until her number was up (there is a sign with the current number posted on it)mornn_013 and was also told the forms she brought back from a week ago were not good anymore because the passport forms had just been updated and changed. SO she got the new form...went home and filled it out..and came back every hour (twenty minute drive each time) to see where the line was. Each hour the line had only progressed by four people..by eleven thirty the clerk was on the fifth person, and by twelve thirty she was on the ninth person, and by one thirty she was on the twelfth person.(each time Melissa walked in and looked at the number posted on the sign) When Houston Personal trainer Melissa saw the clerk was still on number twelve, she sat outside the post office to eat her salad from McDonald's. When she went back in the post office at two twenty p.m., the sign said the clerk was on number twenty one and so Melissa waited in the line, only to find out when she made it up to the front of the counter, that her number had been called when she was out in the truck eating her salad and the clerk said she was not taking anyone else that day and that Melissa would have to come back the next day and wait in line a third time.
OH DEAR GEEZE!!! Melissa was so angry and asked the clerk how she could be on number twenty six when the posted sign still said number twenty one. The clerk said that she was not changing the sign every number because she had to get out of her chair to change the number and since the sign was not by her chair so she was not getting up each time. Houston Personal Trainer Melissa was outraged at the lack of consideration for post office patrons like herself who had been waiting patiently for five hours to get a passport and asked the lady if she minded being reported for her unsatisfactory treatment of the public and the lady said.."BE MY GUEST". SO Here it is for everyone to see. At this point, Melissa called a friend in Tomball who suggested she go to the post office in Tomball as the office was small and friendly. Melissa went the next day at nine thirty a.m to Tomball and the post office passport applications were supposed to start being taken at ten am. When she arrived, she was the only person in line but she got a nice surprise because when the postal workers saw her there, they immediately started processing her passport and did not make her wait till ten am. and also started processing the passport of the lady behind her who had also arrived at nine thirtyish. Both ladies were done by nine forty a.m. ..each passport only taking five minutes. Personal trainer Melissa was SO impressed by the fantastic work ethic of the postal workers in TOMBALL TEXAS and highly recommends that anyone looking for a good experience in passport applications in Houston, should go to a small out lying post office to get quality service and friendly happy people at the counter. What a difference from the large Houston Post office and the small Tomball Office. GOOD JOB TOMBALL TEXAS POST OFFICE WORKERS.. We salute you!!! The individuals who have the BEST abs are usually the ones SWEATING... running on the treadmill, kick boxing or doing spinning classes. It is not that crunches are bad, but if a person is only going to spend an hour in the gym it is important to get the most  body parts involved in the workout as possible. Houston In home personal trainer Melissa recommends kick boxing for a workout that burns fat AND targets the abs and many of her clients love turbo jam kickboxing DVD's. Her own specialty for abs is to do step jumps..where any two workouts a week include step jumps on to a platform that is as high as possible (SOME Houston Volleyball Club teams make the platform as high as four feet to work the vertical jump), with both feet taking off and landing at the same time, and with the hands up in the air as if to shoot a basket at the finish. Then the individual steps back down to the floor and repeats for a hundred and fifty repetitions.(resting of course when necessary) This workout will REALLY be felt in the abs the next day AND it also is a great cardio workout.
