Personal training can help those with eating disorders by taking the emphasis off food and putting more emphasis on feeling good about healthy choices. Teaching about menu shopping and food choices and teaching how to prepare family friendly food options puts the control back in the hands of individuals instead of making them feel like their doctor or a pill is the only way that they can have choices. Teaching is just a way of providing information and as an experienced trainer I have learned to value the individuality of my clients and try to get them to find lifestyles that improve their state of mind and fitness. I really enjoy kids, I had five of my own, and I really enjoy helping people feel satisfied with improvement instead of feeling dissatisfied with not achieving perfection.  Improvement is a great goal and finding a spiritual core of beliefs and truths that define us each as individuals gives us a good road-map and sense of direction.
