Melissa not only does regular intensive workouts, she also eats six small meals a day including five servings of fresh vegetables, two servings of fruit, a hundred grams of protein and lots of water.

Houston Personal trainer and sexy fitness instructor Melissa says that when working the butt, which is a big muscle, it is important not only to do go low and use correct form but also to flex the butt muscle at the end of each rep to really fatigue the muscle well during each set of squats or lunges or step ups. If the legs are not screaming for rest then the workout is not doing the right amount of work to the muscles. Melissa keeps changing the workouts to keep them challenging as well using techniques such as continuous tension, pyramiding, and pre exhaustion to pump up the leg muscle and tighten the butt.

A tight butt workout targets the  glutes and if done at a fast pace it can also be a cardio workout because squats, lunges and deadlifts usually get the heart rate up when doing high reps and sets with ten or twelve pounds in each hand.

Many women workout in order to slim their waistline but the next most important thing to them is to have a round, lifted , sexy TIGHT  butt.  Houston Personal trainer Melissa knows that to  have a tight butt, it is important to remember that heavier weights are necessary. To achieve the desired look,
Melissa does 215 pounds in her squats for at least five sets without becoming fatigued, and does ten sets of leg press with heavy weights as well. Women who are shorter can see faster results with less weight in order to avoid bulking up but taller women will always need heavier weights to see muscle development in the long muscles. For her sexy butt workout, Melissa does  HEAVY weights  which are  almost double her body weight and also does five sets of deadlifts with bent legs but a flat back using 135 pounds, five sets of hyper extensions holding a forty five pound plate  and five sets of lying free weight leg curls for the hamstrings using sixty five pound dumbbells.She does step ups holding thirty pound dumbbells, squats, leg press with six plates and single leg extensions for the quads. The above listed weight might seem heavy but Melissa has worked out for many years to get to this weight level.
Because Melissa is tall, at five feet nine and a half inches, she has to really push some weight to achieve the same look with her butt that shorter women can achieve with a lot less weight but higher reps. Melissa does five to ten sets of squats and deadlifts at least on the days she does legs and she splits her leg workout into two days, doing hamstrings on one day all by themselves.

Personal Trainer Melissa also does five sets of 50 lunges or reverse lunges with a weighted vest or with 135 pound barbell and runs the bleachers  several times a week. Sometimes for more of a cardio workout she does her lunges in the format of a beach workout which can be found on her photo page titled workout photos in this website.

Workouts for the butt make women feel more confident and a recent study done at Northern Illinois University, with thirty women of various ages, it was found that Weight training also helped build confidence. In short, maintaining a tight butt is a hard workout but can produce great buns in a relatively short amount of time with consistency and dedication.
