Cardo Kickboxing in Houston Can Jumpstart Workouts Print E-mail

kicker.jpgStephanie, Houston Personal Trainer and Kickboxing expert for Citiflex.com,  started her career in fitness five years ago, when, overweight and a little depressed, she joined a gym as a ‘New Year’s Resolution’. She noticed a kickboxing class in progress – but was too intimidated to go. For weeks, she would walk by the class, looking at the participants sweating and having fun, but still too scared to go. Finally, after getting up the nerve – and standing way in the back – she went and had a blast -  while working out! Exercise helped her feel strong and like an athlete again. Before long, the baggy shirts and big shorts didn’t fit anymore and a renewed sense of empowerment started.
A Houston Texas native who now lives in Spring, Stephanie was involved in dance, volleyball and softball. She attended college at Texas A&M in Galveston where she fell in love with surfing, rollerblading, and biking on the seawall. Marriage and two children later she noticed that exercise and physical activity had fallen by the wayside. It wasn’t until she finally decided to commit to a more healthy lifestyle that Stephanie found what she loves – helping and teaching others how to find a workout they love and enjoy the benefits that come with it.
Stephanie started teaching cardio-kickboxing later, after practicing form, studying technique and learning from the best instructors she could find. Her love of fitness grew and she decided to become an In Home Houston personal trainer and added to her repertoire of fitness activities – including strength training, muscle endurance, running, intense abdominal exercises, cycling and yoga. Stephanie’s love of fitness is clearly evident and contagious

Stephanie’s personal training goals are to help each her clients in Spring, Tomball, The Galleria, Downtown Houston, Kingwood and the Woodlands, find a workout that they really like and can maintain for the rest of their lives. One of the many great things about hiring a personal trainer, is having that “scheduled time” so there are no excuses or distractions – just time to focus on your body and getting stronger, leaner and more fit!
