Personal Trainers Should Provide a Safe Workout Environment |
|
|
Personal Trainers in Houston should provide a safe environment for the in home personal training client to exercise in. Each personal training client I have wants to receive the most fitness in the least amount of time, so preventing any injuries is critical.

When doing in home personal training, the floor should be non-skid and clutter free and there should be adequate lighting in order for the personal trainer to see if proper form is being used during the exercises. The weights and equipment used should be appropriate for the fitness level of the client and yet should continually challenge them. As an In home Houston Personal Trainer, I pride myself on making sure each set a client performs is done effectively, with proper form and forces the client to exert the most effort necessary for fitness and performance gains. When taking the personal training outside, more variables exist in the workout but the personal training client is also able to experience a greater range of workout possibilities. With cycling, the bike needs to fit the client, for example, or with inline skating, the client needs to be outfitted with all the padding and helmet and comfortable fitting skates. Proper clothing for the weather fluctuations is important as well as having proper shoes and having adequate hydration available. Sunscreen and protective headgear is also critical in the Houston heat. Providing workout varieties which take advantage of the great outdoors is one way I help my clients to cross train, which helps prevent injuries. The variety also makes the personal training workouts more "personal" and fun and will encourage exercise adherence.

Why trying to NOT eat makes a person GAIN weight |
|
|
 NOT EATING??? BAD BAD BAD!!
Everyone needs to understand the concept of keeping your metabolism
going by eating. The first thing many people do when they want to lose
weight and hire a Houston Personal trainer is to stop eating meals.. crazed things such as skipping
breakfast. NO NO NO!!!
Think of the body as a fire or a furnace. Food is the wood, paper and coal that keeps the fire (your Metabolism) going.
What
happens when you stop putting wood on the fire?? (ie. when you stop
feeding your body with food by skipping breakfast) Does the fire get
bigger and burn more? Or does the fire almost go out and burn less?
(SLOWWWWWWWW metabolism)
You can trick your metabolism into speeding
up by feeding it regularly..small meals..snacks..such as a piece of
string cheese..two hours later, an apple...two hours later..some whole
wheat crackers and a handful of almonds..two hours later some raw
broccoli and some raw carrots and some low fat dip. This is like having
a fire that you put twigs on regularly so that it constantly burns and
never goes out.

Houston Personal Trainer suggests Workout Videos to Enhance weight loss effectiveness |
|
|
Photo of Houston Personal Trainer Stephanie doing her Houston Cardio kick boxing workout...
Personal Training in Houston or in any city is a joint undertaking
with the client actively participating and making positive fitness
lifestyle choices for significant results. One way Houston Personal
Training clients get involved in the workout is to perform a minimum of
one hour of fitness activity on the days their personal trainer is not
doing a workout with them. I recommend the following DVDs to any person
serious about taking an active role in adding workouts beyond what
their personal trainer requires for weight loss and fitness. Billy
Blanks "Tae Bo cardio circuit 2" (he is the original kick boxing video workout) and it is fifty three minutes and
burns a whopping 562 calories and is an excellent choice for calorie
burning. Another great personal training assist workout is "Gym in a
Box" with Leiss Hart because it helps keep you from doing the same
workout twice with different moves of your choice. Finally, "Hardcore Kick box Circuit" with Janis Saffell is a workout lasting fifty three
minutes which sculpts sleak leg muscles. Stephanie loves to do Turbo
Jam kick boxing and many of her clients have purchased that workout set
as well and it was created by a In Home Personal Trainer as well.

Goofy Things People Do When Working Out With a Personal Trainer |
|
|
Here is a list of the ten goofiest things people do during Houston personal training:

10)
Performing a set of workout exercises very rapidly without sweating and then
complaining that the exercises were really difficult. =)
9)
Neglecting to do the addidional cardio workouts or yoga on your own
when your Houston personal trainer has asked to because you did't think you had
the time.
8) Forgetting to warm up before a Houston workout and then still saying that you did.
7)
Refusing to try new Houston Workout routines such as cycling or skating or
kangoo boots because its different from what you are used to.
6)
Eating whatever you want during the week, and having a couple of binge
beer drinking sessions and then refusing to weigh the following week
thinking the in Home personal trainer won't figure it out.
5) Assuming
that working out with a Houston In Home Personal trainer means you
don't have to do anything for yourself...such as quitting smoking.
4)
Trying to get the In Home Personal Trainer involved in a conversation
because you are too tired to work out and want longer rest periods.
3) Telling the personal trainer you are drinking lots of water and then not having a bottle of water with you for the workout.
2)
Failing to show up or be at home for an in home personal training
workout when these personal training sessions are paid for up front.
AND LAST HERE IS THE GOOFIEST THING PEOPLE DO WHEN WORKING WITH A HOUSTON PERSONAL TRAINER:
1)
Guys thinking that a female Houston personal trainer CAN'T give them a
butt kicking workout and women thinking that a male Houston personal
trainer WON'T give them a butt kicking workout.

More Tips on Hiring a Qualified Personal Trainer |
|
|
When Looking for a Houston Personal Trainer, write down all the questions you have so you are able to get the most clear parameters for what it is you want to achieve and how the personal trainer is going to get you there. If you have health issues, is the Houston personal trainer experienced enough to workout around the health problems without causing injury? If you have dietary restrictions, is the time length of your personal training going to be affected, because dietary considerations are a very important part of successful workout planning. Are you willing to devote at least three hours a week toward working out with a Houston personal trainer and are you willing to workout an additional two or three hours a week on your own? As an experienced Houston personal trainer, I have found that at least three workouts per week with a personal trainer as well as individual workouts are necessary to achieve quick and substantial results. Is your primary goal weight loss or muscle gain or both? Do you think the personal trainer has put the look you want into practice by sculpting their own physique into the look that you wish to achieve? I have seen many Houston Personal trainers With a physique that I admire, but I have seen even more Houston Personal Trainers who look like they have not worked out themselves in years. Do you need to have a Houston IN HOME personal trainer or are you willing to go to a gym to workout and meet the personal trainer there. The advantage of having a Houston IN HOME personal trainer is that you have a commitment invested because the Houston personal trainer is going to show up at your door to workout every session, rain or shine and make sure you stay on track. Is the personal trainer qualified to do A.C.E. certified workouts? This credential is an elite certification and is nationally recognized and also requires ongoing training.
