Personal Training is something Melissa loves to do because it is a
natural extension of her love of working out. So far her experience as
a trainer comes from her own workouts of running, roller blading,
swimming, cycling, weight training, core training, plyometrics and
more. One thing that these workouts all have in common is that they
make the individual who performs them consistently, feel strong,
energetic and powerful. This feeling of empowerment can be even further
enhanced, according others, by incorporating a knowledge of fighting or
self defense, into the workouts. By taking on a new level of workout that is new to the individual, the strength and fitness goes up even more and there is better conditioning which prevents injuries from overuse. This is assuming that the proper gear and proper warm ups are done when doing any new activity.
That is one reason Melissa has
incorporated kick boxing expert Stephanie into her workout sessions with
clients. Now she will have the ability to take her expertise one step
further with the help of some fighting pros.
Recently, Houston Personal trainer Melissa has had the opportunity to
meet two very interesting individuals, now in Houston, who have
made a name for themselves in the world of fighting. She met world
champion featherweight contender "Red" of Longs Boxing Gyms in Houston at a local gym when she
was training, and also met Layn, an undefeated fighter living in the
champion forest area who does personal training and works at a local
fine restaurant until his next big fight sometime in August. Both men
have a great love of their sport and are amazingly enthusiastic and
animated when discussing their history in boxing and fighting. Red has
offered to help train Citiflex.com owner Melissa "so she can learn how
to protect that angel face." Houston in home personal trainer Melissa
loves a challenge so it will be interesting to see if she is able to learn how to
defend herself!
