Houston Personal Trainer Says Eat Protein To Help Sluggish Metabolism
Protein provides amino acids and amino acids are chains. These chains are only as strong as the weakest link in the chain.. Amino acids are the building blocks of muscle and the body needs muscle to speed up the metabolism so it needs ALL the amino acids. What are some fast ways to get extra protein without eating nonstop chicken? Try greek yogurt as it is high in protein and tasty. Add egg whites to a smoothie and each egg white adds protein and is not too filling or high calorie. There are new foil wrapped tuna products that have pepper and lemon and are fast and easy to eat.Houston and The Woodlands Personal Trainer Melissa likes that La Madelines has chicken La Madeline that has a lean mushroom gravy and is served with rice and broccoli for 630 calorie meal that is high protein. Eat a small breakfast steak with eggs in the morning for a protein beginning to the day. Add powered milk to pancake or bread batter to add extra protein. The cells in the body are responsible for burning fuel by converting food into usable energy and some Houston Personal Training clients seem to have a slower metabolism or less muscle. In other words, their cellular function is not as fast as it should be. In order to make sure the cells are working at optimal levels, they need to have a sufficient supply of some specific amino acids and the ones in particular that help speed metabolism are Arginine and aspartic acid. Lean meats, chicken and eggs are good sources of these amino acids. It is important to remember when taking amino acids though (if a person chooses to supplement with them), is that the amino acids are branched chains and they are only as effective as the weakest link..so it is necessary to get all the amino acids and eating real food, protein AND fruits and vegetables, is the best insurance policy against deficiencies.
