Guacamole helps prevent diabetes |

Guacamole can help stop the full-blown diabetes from developing in the 30 million Americans who have pre-diabetes. Researchers at Harvard University have determined that women who eat plant fats such as avocados, olive oil and peanut butter every day, have a lower risk of diabetes by 22 percent, than those who don't. These mono unsaturated fatty acids which are found in plants help the body's ability to use glucose and keep the blood sugar stable. One of the best ways to avoid the onset of adult diabetes however is to avoid sugar. When the pancreas has to fight an overload of sugar for years and years, eventually it is depleted. So to keep your body in the best shape, five tsp. of sugar a week is more than enough and most people eat WAY more than that.
